Open Letter Affordable Housing & our Public Schools Business Community Rail Trail My Background	Extending the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail to Williamstown One of the many treasures in the Berkshires is the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, which is a bike path extending from Lanesboro to Adams. Through the efforts of a wonderful organization, the Berkshire Bike Path Council, plans are now in place to extend the bike path south to Pittsfield. Emerging plans also call for extending the Bike Path north from Adams to North Adams and, then, west to Williamstown, with the ultimate goal of running the trail north from Williamstown to Vermont. Our town must extend every effort to bring this plan into reality. Not only will extending the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail to Williamstown provide an exciting, healthy and safe recreation for our families and children, it will further enhance Williamstown as a tourist destination.
